I was trolling the Internet and came across these CV joints, there not cheap but they have a "No Questions Asked Limited Lifetime Warranty". http://www.rcvperformance.com/product-d ... 1174HF-28M Posted using the WoodsBuggy Mobile App |

If it's no questions asked I wonder what the limited part is ? Sounds fishy to me. Chad |

I would imagine its like a autozone's limited lifetime warranty, in that you can't use it as a boat anchor, hammer, or remove it with cutting torches Posted using the WoodsBuggy Mobile App |

Just got off the phone with them. The guy I talked to (Craig I believe) really pushed the 300m series. They all have the limited lifetime warranty but he said the 300m is about 20-30% stronger and just gives you the reassurance of no breakdowns on the trail. He said the warranty covers any breakage. You send them a picture and they send you a new one. It does not sound like they will cover a normal wear situation though... so if its clicking or just sloppy they wont cover it. So what I took from that is you have to run her still she grenades to get it replaced. He also mentioned the warranty is not transferable if you sell your buggy. The finned series is a little lighter and cools easier but he didn't seem to think it was a huge difference. Other than that seems like a nice product and they are willing to stand behind it. Maybe save some of you guys a phone call. |

Back in '01 I bought some chrome moly 930 cages (4ea) with small holes, shot peened and prepped for $250. They are on Austin's buggy now, but they are still a going. But watch out when buying chrome moly stuff. Some manufactures sell it as "Chrome moly" BRAND! Does not say they are made out of it, just colored like it. Such as some push rods I seen a while back. |

Since these are covered under warranty, I do not plan on prepping them. I would hate to void the warranty because I took a grinder to the joints. |
