should do pretty good especially if it has a 3 speed trans. gas mileage on the other hand may not be so great, thats a big motor shoving a big cinder block down the road.

I have a dodge ram 1500 4x4 with a 4.7L and pulled my 28 foot enclosed trailer with the buggy in it. I averaged 8.3 mpg taking it to Alabama this past weekend. I know its different with the motor homes put thought it would give a comparison. Will be buying another truck soon as my son wants to drive my truck when he gets his license. Looking at a diesal 3/4 ton or bigger maybe to pull the trailers and boat.

I have an older 28' Alegro MH and have towed trailers with in and all I can say is make sure you have trailer brakes! Mine weighs 13,000#s and anything over a 2% grade makes for hard stopping. And you can forget an emergency stop, been there done that. The MH now sits parked at camp. Makes a great Camper lol.

Yea braking is also my main concern, especialy on older units. Newer models have twice the brake capacity.
