I'm sure of compression ratio I just bought this rai. I've always only had a 1641 and wasn't sure

If you don't have the compression to run race fuel then you will actually make less power trying to run it. Start out with premium and see how she runs first IMO. Or just go ahead and check the ratio on it and know what's the correct fuel to run. Chad :mrgreen:

Here is another one of my guesses. :roll: Hold your hand over the exaust. If it is hot, and you know your timing is good, run higher octane. If you just have to mix racing fuel. And if you live by the lake where they sell 90 oct or better,ethanol free gas for boats, that would be a plus.10-15% Ethanol in our regular pump gas is weak and corrodes carbs and rubber anyway.
