rock.. i remember that buggy, one of the baddest buggies that ever was  what made that motor whistle the way it did? it was so loud it would drown out the exhaust.. and it sounded awesome 8) jus like a turbo spooling up

I would guess a whine or whistle would be cause by straight cut cam gears.

No! It was the fan rubbing on the shroud. He said he did not mean to do it but he liked it so much he kept it. Funny story about that ol Chenowoth. We used to cut thru an old lady's yard to save 5 miles of pavement. Well I felt bad so I took the long way one night and Jeff was 20 minutes late with the short cut. He said he cut between her house and barn and there was a guy sitting in the dark on his Harley polishing his gun. Jeff said he had to turn his motor off and listen to the dude's loooong speech about how he feels about people driving across his mother's yard. :P

i know what cam gears sound like.. this was totally different, almost like a turbo and it was LOUD.. couldnt hear the exhaust over it when he had it turned up.. that buggy would turn up like a 2 stroke and with that whistle.. it was an awesome sounding motor 8)
