Okay, would really like to start sandblasting and am considered about the moisture in the air. I think it will clog up the sandblaster. I found some pretty cool driers but they are VERY $$$. Since I like to be innovative, you know those little moisture absorber's that come in shoes and such stuff? What if you got a few of the larger baggies in the link and put them inside of a 7.62 NATO ammo can. You could cut out holes on each side and slide a threaded pipe into it and weld it to make it air tight. Since it is already waterproof (rubber gasket) it should be pretty well sealed to keep in the compressed air. I believe that it would remove the moisture pretty well thus drying the air. The baggies are reusable so i can just dry them out and pop them back in the ammo can.

I don't thinks a ammo can will hold the pressure buddy .
Harbor freight has cheap ones that work ok . Keep us updated on what ya do . 8)

Napa sell a good one with a regulator. What I use for small paint jobs. Yea that ammo can might pop or just swell and leak

The Ammo can will be nothing more that a shrapnel Bomb waiting to go off! :shock: Buy what fits the application and be done with it.

Alright guys, i wan't sure about the pressure but its better to be safe than sorry. I will check that out. I have been looking for something for moisture but the reviews were mixed. Do you guys have the link to them?

I had luck with a 50' coil of air hose between the compressor and tank that would help cool the air and condense the moisture before it drained int a collector

The way i understood it was, if it isn't metal it won't condense as well. If i understand you right you said you put it in between the compressor and the tank right?

Alright i was just checking, that seemed like alot for such a small space. Prolly going to pick up some stuff for it on tuesday.

What about an old radiator? Seems like i could fit it pretty flush to the wall and just rig something up for the ends.

i dont think a radiator will nowhere near hold the pressure, sounds like a "grenade" to me. jmo.

Alright, well im just going to try and use some air hose coiled up. I would just use copper but if the coiled up air hose works, its money saved.

Here's my set up. No issues at all. I can run the compressor all day and not a bit of water through my air hose. Cost me about 100 bucks to do this. Befor I set this up after 30 minutes the air hose was a water hose. Lol. Now no issues I don't even get anything in my filter dryer. Everything stays cool now. I lost a few cfm tho. But it still works well. I can explain how it works and how it's plumed in if y'all want to know. And a parts list. I'm really impressed with it !

Okay, can you post some more pics and details and stuff? Seems like the best design so far.

I already spent 30 bucks on a few nipples, a ball valve, 1ft piece of hose, few elbos, new hose clamps, 2 ridged connectors. Then im going to have to get 50 ft of coiled up hose, a regulator, air filter, mini drier(inline), more fittings, the drop, and the spool( includes air hose).

Check Colemans Surplus in Millersburg,Pa. They might have a drier ready to go,cheap :?: :?: :?: :idea: :mrgreen:
