In the details I saw yall had that there was free parking camping at the other side of the mountain near the Hwy 119 trailhead of Wilderness Trail Off-Road Park.

Theres free parking and camping a lot closer than that. The Colmar parking area to the park is just a mile past Martys. Keep following Hwy 188 until it dead ends and theres a big parking area and places you can camp if you wish.
