Post subject:  brake problem

2 weekends ago i broke 2 wheel studs and messed up the adapter. I thought that was all it done so I fixed what was broke put it back together with a different rotor and now the cutting brake dont hardly work at all and the opposite side in the foot brake stops before the other. I have been riding this buggy for 2 years and never had any brake issues at all. Just woundering if any body has an idea on what could be wrong

Sounds like you bent your rotor.

Repeatedly (kant spel, lol) work the bad cutter with the buggy parked. If the issue is not there it is not the brakes. Bent rotor, stub axle or shot bearings.

Am I the olny one that read that he "put it back together with a different rotor"?( i suppose the "different rotor" could be bent as well),,but I doubt that the rotor is bent..Im guessing that the "different rotor" could be a different thickness, maybe thinner than the one that was replaced, which would require the caliper pistons to move further, hence the other side working before the one that was replaced.?,,also,,how did the brake pads look?

Once the brake pedal is pushed once the pads seat up against the rotors and the movement would be the same. Some things to look, Grease and or oil on pads, check the caliper and lines going to it. Line could have gotton kinked , piston freeze etc. Also bleed that side as it may have air in it. Throwing these out there because your problem may have nothing to do with replacing the studs.

sorry, I missed the rotor part.... I'd also check your stub axle and wheel bearings like nitro said...

I think i have got it fixed. Not really sure what it was i changed the rotor and swapped the pads to the other side and they work, not really sure what the problem was but they work now and thats all that matters. thanks for the help
