Bought some wire that had been laying out once and it had some residue on it, i bought some of those fiber pads you clip on and it wipes it as it spools off. If your metal has some oil on it it can also cause it to bouble like that, or out of welding gas can cause it unless you welder is gasless. I've also grab the wrong wire before, like flux cored for a gasless.

Was just talking with russ on things to ck and as I was putting a new spool on it I noticed a two foot long peice of wire from the the last spool had broken off inside of the lead . Which was binding the wire and probly causing a inconsistent gas pressure to the tip .
I bought 035 wire this time but the machine came with 030 so I'm going to go get a roll of 30 and try it out .
Hope it works !
Thanks guys for your input !!!!

If you use.35 wire, you need to change copper tip on gun . That's what I use. Copper tips just screw in. They will say .35 or.30 on side.

Flux core wire will cause more splatter causing the slag bubbles your talking about,to clean your weld up, go to non flux with gas..the diff. is amazing..also. sounds like you need to slow your roll if that makes sence.i have found that slowing down a lil improves my bead alot and i always feel like im going to slow to begin with.. ..just sayin

He had an old piece of wire get stuck in from the last spool. It was blocking the gas, all fixed.
