 Post subject: ive got a ?

does anybody know if they make a double ended stud with 3/8-24 on one end and 8mm x 1.25 on the other end, if anybody knows if this type stud is made please let me know where i might find them i dont seem to be looking in the right places, if they even exist that is :?

yeah jesse i already checked fastenal but all i found were same diameter with same or different thread pitch, and i need different diameter on each end

Best you'll get is 3/8-24 on one end and 3/8-16 at the other, same with 5/16.

Take a jug stud cut it off the length you want ,thread the other end with the 3/8 the other end will be 10 mm .I have done this to make longer bottom trans mt studs.Don't know if this helps or not

VW rocker studs are 10mm on one end and 8mm on the other!

My best guess would have been McMasterCarr also, other wise if you have access/knowledge make your own 8)

finally got the size i need figured out

3/8-24 on one end and 8mm x 1.25 on the other end

probably have to get them made at a machine shop i guess

ive got a new set of cb performance bolt on valve covers im trying to use but the problem is the pauter rockers im also using, they come with bigger (3/8) and studs and barrel nuts and the rubber sleeve that comes with the valve covers is already a tight fit with the 8mm studs that they are meant for

Been there,done that. Just drill the cover out so a 3/8" stud will go through it. Then use early oil cooler seals around the studs. I tig welded the studs into the barrel nuts so that they would stop working loose and use locking type nuts.
