thought it might be interesting to see what would be considered good etiquette for group rides,,,such as how often to take beer brakes, or how many to a group,,etc,,,let's hear suggestions. |

I like LBL rules... The 1st guy in a pack of buggies holds up the number of fingers to show how many buggies are in the group. Then the last guy holds up a fist to show he is the last vehicle.. |

I think if folks are standing on a ridge watching someone hill climb, there should be someone (appointed or not) that has half a mind to help direct traffic along the ridge to make sure no one gets T-boned trying to drive through. Every time I've gone along a ridge where people were stopped to watch a climb no one has bothered to indicate which trail the person was trying to come up and if it was safe to go through or not... and it's always been a "oh well.. here we go - hope no-one runs into us" situation. Yes, warning other riders about how many people are in your caravan is great. (no, I'm not waving at you, there really are 5 other people behind me) When you go around blind corners try to keep on your side of the trail (as in traffic) Had a guy dump his dirt bike trying to keep himself from winding up in our lap around a blind, banked corner last weekend. Perfect example. If you notice some atvs or bikes behind you that would rather be ripping down the trail like nuts, pull over and let 'em have at it. I'm sure every buggy driver likes it when jeep or 4x4 guys do the same. |

I love to drive my 4x4 S-10 behind all the buggies playing clean up to pull them out or just to bring food and supplies. If their is an accident I can hit pavement fast or just run to an auto parts store.I even carry axes, picks, chainsaws, fire extinguisher, extra clothes and just about everything Autozone has. |
