i was at drews off road swap meet 2day and i seen 2 buggys with ecotec engines with dual weber carbs inline..looked pretty cool..ive never seen that before..i was wondering why they did that? im not saying its bad thing..i just figured it was for all out power..anyone know or seen this before..i took couple picts wit my cell phone lol..thought bout postn em..but i figured u guys already know and seen this setup before |

hope no one gets mad but here we go..looks sweet..there was 2 buggys like this..im sure its someones buggy on here..one them buggys looked like it was ready for the moto cross..both buggys was bad ass!!..sorry for the half pict i not good wit posting picts..but u guys get the idea

Some people just like carbs I guess. NO ECU I bet that way. Might also be done to fit in a racing class perhaps. |

cool lookin set-up but isn"t it the other way around most people swap their carbs for fuel injection |

They did that for simplicity. Not sayin it was easier, it was what they knew at the time. I race with them and when I put my subaru in the race buggy with the fuel injection it raised a few eyebrows. I cant say one is better, just who you talk to |

Quads for rods makes an intake for dual side drafts..But yes simplicity.. You can also get a msd dist. for them also and loose all the electronics |

I know they are both running a crank-fire ignition, but its not msd. |

Yeah, You would still need a ecm to tell the coils when to fire. Probably just a signal wire from the crank to tell them to fire. I like that set up first time I've seen one. You could wire an ecotec with a 1/3 of the wiring. |
