Long time no see.. lots of new faces on here since the last time i was on. Looks like WoodsBuggy.com has come a long way in a couple years..

I keep breaking CV joints, I think its because I have a little too much angle for the bus CVs.
I want to get rid of these bus CVs. I have seen some of you guys run a u-joints style axle, can you post up some pictures and places I can buy the parts. I guess the only other way to do it is to put new 930s on it, but stub axles, cvs, and new shafts look to be pretty expensive.. Let me know your thoughts.

you got limit straps? just bring the angle backdown some. I run bus to bus , and have only had one cv problem in the last few years , and that was because the upper clip got mushroomed and came off. -My fault lol .

930 prices are way down from what I am told, might be worth it. Maybe someone has converted recently and can comment.

I looked into the U-Joints and they work great if you do not have much suspension travel.. However, if you have any travel (more than 5 inches) I would stay away from the U-Joints. If you go to the Glamis forum site you can see some very scary pics of Transmissions ripped in half by the U-Joints..

As for Bus CV's, Call Dan from Dans Performance Parts.. He sells Race Prep Type 2 CV's that have worked very well for me and you can run them at a higher angle. Make sure to tell Dan you are from the woodsbuggy web site.

type 4 cvs (thing) provide a little more angle cause the balls are smaller and are the same size as your bus cvs so you wont have to buy stubs or flanges. :D I always take a dremel and chamfer the cv cage where the balls ride this helps with angels and binding issues as well. I run 930s on both my cars and never have had any issues even with 25 degrees on my axles :shock:
