I'm headin down to concord Georgia next week for work. Whats that place like? Do they have beer? They generally don't tell me ahead of time when they send me to work in a dry county :evil: I just want to be ready

Wow when will you get here :?: Concord is in Pike Co south of Atl bout 40 miles. I live in Pike Co .. I am leaving to go on a cruise this Sunday the 20Th will be back the following Sunday .Will you still be here Hell if so we will burn a steak one night :D

and you got concord in sumter co. (outside of americus) and you got concord in schley co. ( north of americus, around ellaville. and pike co. next to griffin. yea 3 in one state. go figure. but most all should be beer with in a few miles. it will be rural area for real, but just a few miles to a good size town.

I just Googled Concord Ga I got About 789,000 results (0.07 seconds) All were in PIKE CO Go figure

Im figuring Pike co. Its about an hour south of atlanta I'm told. I'm working at a place called Sonnys Ice on highway 18. I'l only be there monday through friday. I might be back the following week

Sony's yep that's down the road from us you have to go threw my town to get there. We are the county seat here. Concord is about 5 or 6 miles away. Directly across the road from where you are going there is a store called Stricklands .Back in the day this is where you got everything you got from a store.From food to shoes to farm supply. When I was a boy I used to go there with my Dad and there was a Skeleton in a coffin up stairs in the store room that they called uncle Willie .It used to scare the hell out of me if me and Dad had to go up to the store room .The rumour was they forgot to bury this feller ,The place was also the funeral home. Damn I hate we gonna be gone but if you come back next week we need to get together. Where you staying Griffin :?: That's about the closest place with a Motel

I wish I was flyin! If they keep sending me out this far I might have to trade my service truck for a service jet! We bought sonnys Ice a couple months ago and are making some improvments, more freezer space, and stuff like that. I'm sure I'll be back down there at some point, and i'll bring my buggy next time!

:lol: Some Trivia ....I live in Zebulon Ga .It's in Pike Co.This is named after the Explorer Zebulon Pike .He mapped most of the Louisiana Purchase .And Griffin Ga was where Doc Holliday was from .He was the local Dentist till he had to move west to escape the humid air .You will go threw all these towns going to Concord. Griffin is the only one with a motel, stores,eating joints that kinda stuff
