i have seen the pedals mounted to the floor and also haveing a cross bar then put the pedals on top of a plate to raise them , which way is more comfy ? i am at the stage i need to know which way to go before i mount my floor ! pictures would be great too! thanks jason |

find back in buggy builds my buggy build. should be some pcitures of the pedal setup. I put mine up off the floor, thanks to Hawaiian Dave initially starting the mounts there. turned out I really like them that way, feel like you have a little more control and u can butt ur heals up against something. |

IMO, better to have them mounted up on cross bar. Because of what Jeffy said ( actually said something smart for once  ) and because aluminum floor will flex and move a little bit when you push the pedals. Mine are on the floor and I even double up the diamond plate under them and I can still tell the flex alittle. Old buggy was solid mounted, liked it better.

Heres how i did mine. and they dont move. plus mine felt like they was to low mounted on the floor.

i thought about this for along time with my rail...if you can flip them and hang them...it is alot more comfy for me but then again it depends on the pedals...i have pics of mine on my build page as well... good luck man! |

Ive been checking into this set up from Wilwood- it's only about fifty dollars more than you're gonna pay for a set of Neal pedals, and you'd have dual master cylinder braking. Is anybody running a set up like this?

I am runing a setup like that so i can set the front and rear pressure so that i can stop and not lock up the front... |

I have mine mounted to the floor, but have a steel plate about an 1/8" thick on the underside that act like a big washer that all of my pedals are mounted through. I first had them mounted to just the aluminum and like said, it flexed way to much for my liking. I like my set-up. I have individual pedals that seem like the pedals sit higher than the pedals that are a combined brake/clutch.

 I have 1"X 1/4" frame work bolted to the top side of floor mounting tabs with checker plate floor mats. Drivers side bent up provides good foot/ heal rest. Peddles are mounted to a piece of scrap 1/2" aluminum plate (thick enough to drill and tap to mount peddles to ) bolted to tabs above the floor. In future I may make them adjustable. |
