ok well i was driving down the road and i saw a 1982 bus out front...i saw a for sale sign...and i shrugged it off...then went to the good old criagslist and saw and ad for two vw's for $1000. I called the guy and i went to go look at them when i got off work. the camper looked rough and i called the guy he said he would take $600 for both if i pick them up today...so well got the trailer and picked them up!...

the camper is an 1980 and the white one is a 1982. the white one will start but seems to not be getting enough fuel, and I do not have a title for it and i am going to be getting up with the woman who owned the bus before she sold it to the guy that i got it from. the brown one or the camper has ben changed to a carborated engine, and it has no spark coming from the dizzy but i can fix that and get a new fuel pump to give less fuel for the brand new weber carb that he paid $300 for.

so now...the question is what would you do?...

they probably got the side shifter 6 ribs,,or auto, those side shift may be the convertable type and are stronger cases. you done good,,I would have bought them too. they make good storage units. I use the rear stub assembly on Babychains.

they are both stick...and the white one seems solid but i am waiting till i can get a title in hand for both till i make a decission..on what to do...i would like to sell them for some quick cash but at the same time i would love to keep the transaxles and scrap the rest...which i cannot do without a title i think if i want to take the body to a scrap yard...hmmm

around here today you can get 13 per hundred with tile and 10 per hundred without. If you have room they make great storage sheds.

I know in Pa. if you cut it up into quarters, you don't need a title.

Post subject:  Re: WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

yeah i will keep everyone in mind with parts if i scrap...i guess i am trying to see if there is enough want of parts to justify parting out...if i do part out i know i am going to keep one transaxle...but who knows...im just excited about going to talk to the brake shop that is running the lines for the rail so that i know everything is done right so i have that piece of mind and that i can show the state of NC that it is done right!...

explain what a floater is??? im am curious

no your fine...this post is a general rant area...i have not made up my mind on what to do so anyone can weigh in on the issue...though im am thinking of keeping the F/i 2.0 motor and tranny and converting it to a nose shift...

and scraping out the camper...as of now but that can change...

let me know when you create the CD post!...im curious!
