I don't know where they get that,,I have not had any problems,,but I do delete cookies about once a week. I also have anti-virus.

I clicked on the hill climb schedule and As soon as I did I got a virus alert and infected warning.I freaked cause it was on my new iPad.I didn't click on any of the download to fix I just esc out and deleted everything and then reset everything and I never seen it again.this was yesterday about 9:30am.I've only been on three sites other than woods buggy since I got it.yahoo,fb,iTunes ,and here.I don't have any idea if I'm infected or not.but I know something happened but I'm not very computer savey,lol.Chad

Yeah my computer did that the other day when i logged on here. It started scannig for viruses and said i had like 7 critical viruses. I restarted my computer and ran a virus scan through my norton anti virus and it came back clean. I dont know what that was.

couple months back i was watching videos on you tube - got one of those virus alerts - made the mistake of clicking on that link to contain the virus or whatever - that was the virus . it was malware had to get my brother to come fix my comp. - it locked it clear up

WOW!! I am on the just about every day, not for very long, but almost everyday. I assure you that if there is or was a virus on here it was not directed towards any person, ip address or email address and Marty had nothing to do with it if there was one (LOL). This happened to me on 3 seperate computers. Refuse the fix and download it offers. I think its someone trying to get your info. I ran my own scans on all 3 computers and they came back safe with no detected problems. Once i refused the fix and downloads offered by the random virus scan that said my computer was infected it never again returned. I,m by far no computer genius but it seemed fishy to me from the get go and i refused the fix offered and went to norton that i trust to run a scan and all has been ok on all 3 computers so far.

That little program tried to get me too. I have the Woodsbuggy home page bookmarked and it never even came up. The window that opened said Windows Defender, but the giveaway was the internet bar showed it was coming from a site called "scan soft" or something.

Did any of you guys that experienced this notice if your last time visited has changed on your board index page? Chad

I can see where it would be easy to be defensive,,the title was a bit strong on the other site and it seems the term "Virus" may be a little strong too. I still have not been exposed but obviously others have. I don't know that these things don't follow us from another site. I don't know,,but glad you had faith to come back and post Kathy. I suspect it is malware that is trying to get 50 bucks to clean off a Virus that does not exist. Run Spybot to get rid of it. may take 2 passes.

Yea, that's what it is. I've got AVG anti virus software and it caught it as soon as I clicked on WB. Went to Wes' and it did the same thing. Marty had emailed me on Dec. 23 and I sent him a reply but he apparently didn't receive it, I wish he had gotten it so he could have posted it, that may have kept this little incident from happening. Anyway it's seems ok right now. Here's a copy of the email.

It's not actually a virus even though it acts like a virus. It's called a malware. It's actually a ploy to get you to buy software. Once you have it, it's not going to show up. If you delete your history and cookies then click on Woodsbuggy it will pop up saying you have a virus, at that point if you click cancel to remove it, that is when it actually downloads the virus. When the window pops up you should click on ok and close out your browser. Wes said to call him and he will explain it to you. 502-223-8472.

I got it about two weeks ago ,I blamed the kids cause they were on facebook when it locked up lol.But it was that( windows defender ) had to wipe every thing out and reload to get rid of it.

I got something and it aint windows defender,its security shield and it wont let me run spybot or delete any of my cookies.Everytime i try to do anything it pops up and says "blah blah is dangerous and i need to buy there program.How can i use my spybot and delete my cookies and stuff?
