I few of us are wanting to go as well. Where is the best place to camp>> Forbidden zone?? |

If you are planning on pitching a tent, then Forbidden Zone is better. It's just that the road going up into there isn't that great. If you have a camper then definitly Oak Tree, it's right off of a paved road. |

Eric the best, being the easiest on the tow rigs is Oaktree Sportsmens Club. You almost need a 4X4 to haul a trailer up to the Forbidden Zone, it's kinda ruff. So ya everyone get their shit together and come on up and do some riding. If you've never been here before, you won't leave disappointed. |

The last couple of years, it has been at Lewis County (a better ride imo). It will probably be there this year as well. It is the day after Thanksgiving (Friday), rain, shine, snow, whatever. |

The dates for the October ride are the 20th. and 21st. Hope to see a great turn out! I am looking forward to it!This might be the last time that the whole place is open. If you have been thinking about going to wellsville for a ride, quit talking about it and comon' up for the weekend! I am driving 520 miles to get there. It's worth it. |

I usually stay over at Oak Tree because I usually drive my RV but this time I will be camping over at the Forbidden Zone. I will be driving my new 4wd so getting up in there is no problem. I like the camping spots up there much better and I think is is still cheaper. I do not have their address and I would have a hard time explaining how to get there. I know I can drive right to it but I don't remember the road names etc... I will try to get that information for you or I can meet you somewhere and you can follow me in. I hope you can make it Eric. I missed you at D&K in the spring. Roy |

What kind of camping is available at Forbidden Zone compared to Oaktree? Such as electric, bathrooms, ice, etc.? What does each of them have? How about getting a converted school bus into Forbidden zone? Any chance? It has lots of ground clearance! Oaktree's website wont come up. Looked at it last year but dont remember much about it. Thanks for any info you got. Larry |
