If anyone has any ideas that you think will improve the site let us kinow. A couple ideas we are working on right now is the buggy of the month. You will be able to submt pic's of your buggy and the members will vote. Also we are going to start doing a monthly feature on differant woodsbuggies.
The forum is VERY important to the site and will not change, but there are lots of other things we can add to the site to make it more interesting.
If you have ideas send them to me.
Thanks
Dean

Hey Dean,

We have never met and I do not post much but I love the site and look at it daily. Great Job.

Here are just a few ideas but as I said earlier. I love the site as it is.

I would agree with instigator. It would be nice to have a calendar on the home page rather than being buried in the forum.

Another idea might be to list all of the places to ride on the home page and have some members volunteer to do a short write up on each place.
- Type of terrian / Trails
- Parking and Directions
- Web site for the ORV Park
- Etc...

It would also be nice to have the ability to see each members buggy. It can be difficult to look through the forum and see everyones buggy. It might be nice to add "Members Rides" to the Home page that linked to each Member Name where they could upload some pictures and details of their buggy.

Take care and thanks a lot for all of your time and effort to support the site.

Dan

Not to steel ideas from other sites but here are some examples of what I mention above.

I like the way this site shows their member rides.
http://www.gbr4wd.com/

I could see woodsbuggy.com separating the dune buggies by Rail Buggy / Chain Drive / Baja / Fiberglass Buggy

Here is an idea of how you could list places to ride. See the trial list.

Thanks for the ideas. The phot pages are going to be done soon. You are right about thing being buried in the forum. I will never change the forum but we have outgrown it. That is why we have made these changes this past week is so that we can change and improve the site. Keep the ideas coming.
And Mickey keep posting.

Hey Dean, Can you add a pic page on members profile page?? Then we can match buggys to names.

I really like the idea of detailed descriptions of the different offroad locations.

As far as the pics go...Would it be a pain in the butt or cost alot of money to ad a photo gallery that we could upload pics to right here on the site? Or maybe we could have an area where we have links to each members offsite photo galleries

Oh, and maybe ad a Land Use section to the forum where we could post any questions or concerns about what the government is doing

Allot sites will have a FAQ sticky post at the top of the forum with pertinenet information for that particular subjuect. Like for A/C motors they could have a sticky post at the top for torque specs. It's a little work but easier to find what your looking for.

Al god ideas. We are going to look into photo galleries pretty quick. If anyone needs to look up VW specs check out Turboblues site. Go to Davisracing.com click on Common VW Specs. Turboblue has great site!

maybe theres a way to sort out posts like you can the members list. Maybe we could go to some of the buggy shops and get bulk buys on stuff. example if we as a group[ wanted to buy boggers we could get a price brake. may be racing fuel get a brake on buying a drum. the list goes on and on. i think the word of mouth might work. go in to any shop and say i have x amount of people who would like x how much bring that price back to the group. shop it around to different shops. lets make it to where they start bring us the good deals. we have over 500 members if we bye a $2.00 part from him and he makes $1.00 on each he just made $5oo that would say something about this group. same goes for running propane they get a bulk buy somewhere. pays to have numbers on are side. thanks

how about a way to search the woodsbuggy site for a particular subject.
so if i typed in "bogger" the system would pull up all posts with that key word. this would save on repeated posts.

Seems like the problem is that the present search brings up entire threads which contain the keyword. Or something :?
