WoodsBuggy.com is Under New Management

In 2005, Dean Marks created a simple website for some friends to plan weekend rides and discuss buggy modifications. Since then, the site has grown into a worldwide site with over 2000 active members.

Over the past few years, Dean has been busy in other endeavors and has not had the time to focus on Woodsbuggy.com. To make sure the sport and the site continue to grow, Dean has transferred ownership of Woodsbuggy.com to Dan Hoffman (Aka MickeyMouse)

I would like to personally thank Dean Marks & Dave Sayson for their ambition to develop and grow such a great site. Their ingenuity and leadership has made a profound impact on all Woodsbuggy enthusiasts.

Now on to the future of Woodsbuggy.com. It is my feeling that this website is a community and a family of off-road enthusiasts. I do not believe that one person is capable of representing the best interest of everyone. With that said, my 1st order of business will be to identify a representative from each state to guide the future direction of WoodsBuggy.com.

My 2nd order of business will be to upgrade and stabilize the website. There are several modules on the site that need to be upgraded and a lot of new features that need to be added. To help with the upgrade, I have engaged in a partnership with SuggestTheBest web designers to help support the website transformation.

The Forum will be my 3rd order of business. Starting now, everybody has a clean slate and NO ONE is banned from the website and I would like to personally invite everyone to rejoin the site. However, there will be some new rules. There will be a ZERO tolerance policy for arguing, slander and/or racism. Any offensive posts or arguments will be deleted.

I look forward to working with everyone and please do not hesitate to reach out to me with your ideas and/or concerns.

Thanks,
Dan Hoffman

Good to see the forum grow. Dean was very ambitious to start the site and it's become a wealth of knowledge and has created quite the community of buggy brethren. Thanks Dean and Dan for all the work you have put into it and will continue to put into it. I for one appreciate the information sharing and entertainment this forum provides. Good to see it in good hands.

I know Dean moved to Texas or somewhere in that vicinity but whatever happened to him on the forum and with his buggy? Him and his single seater just disappeared. If I remember right it was a work transfer or something.

hey i got a question, does this no tolerance for slander, argueing or offensive post mean i cant pick on hyde and wormy, by hypotheticaly saying stuff like they would have a better chance of driving around trying to dodge rain drops than staying up with ol' rwb, of course like i said this purely :cough: hypothetical :cough: :cough:

Coming from an original member, this is somewhat sad to see Dean-o actually cut ties, but at the same time, I'm pretty excited to see where this goes!

First I would like to say THANK'S for taking on the responsibility and headaches associated with putting up with all of us! I am happy to have this resource available.
I for one would be happy to contribute $ to help with all of costs involved especially if the ads on this site better reflected the wants and needs of the members. It is sad to no longer see the banners from vendors that have contributed soo much to this hobby/sport.
Take Care
Kenric
