Yellow top is best if you are going to discharge it & recharge it a lot. Deep cycle is best under these conditions & wont hold a memory of the cycles. Red top is designed to be fully charged all the time & cant handle the cycling as well & can get a memory if you recharge from a slight discharge over & over. If the battery develops a memory it can act like its discharged fairly quickly even though it should still have reserve left. Camcorders suffer this problem & thats why they recommend fully discharging them before recharging. Deep cycle batteries are made for this continuous cycling like with electric trolling motors on a boat. Red top for the tow vehicle & yellow for the buggy.
