Gusto, I'm sorry for your loss, but please don't take this to heart when I say STUPID not only hurts yourself but friends and loved ones too!

thats ok dvs1 i had to drive his truck & buggy back to his family and on the 2 hour trip stupid went through my mind many many times its funny how one of first things that happens is you get mad as hell. so for all of you that thinks you don`t need a belt on unless your ridding something rought or climbing, ask your love ones what they think.

The friend gustagraber is talking about is Tony Scott. He was truly a huge loss to all of us. He is the main reason Yankee and I got into buggyriding. Wildman in a buggy!! No Fear. I hated buggies when I was younger because I thought folks were cutting up good Beetles to make rails, but he helped me see that buggy riders were just putting good use to parts that would have otherwise been junked because MOST of the time the cars were too far gone to mess with otherwise.
He was also a great friend. I only knew him about a month when he volunteered to help me build my shop. He was always the first one there, wouldnt accept a dime, even brought his own beer!
Funny thing is he was ALL about seatbelts and safety for his passengers and first time riders.
If you see my sons "hood" on his buggy, he stenciled a memorial to Tony on it himself. Its been years and my son was a little boy when it happened, but Dakotah still talks about him all the time. He infected everyone who met him with his friendliness and outgoing nature.

MORAL: WEAR YOU DAMN BELTS, ALWAYS!!!!

IF YOU SEE A FRIEND NOT DOING THIS, CUSS HIM LIKE A DOG OR YOU MIGHT LOOSE HIM!

Larry

We should dedicate a ride to his memory. Maybe earn a little money for his favorite charity. 8)

Nice sentiment, Firebuggy. We kinda did every Easter ride, except this year 'cause some are building new buggies and they werent done yet. No money invloved, just think and talk about him a little more than usual.

He would trip out to see the level that woodsbuggies have reached now!!
He was a "Big Dog" to some of us with his dual carb 1915 back then!!!  I know he was to ME!
