What's wrong with the nice looking K&N filter?
I don't know if you know that K&N makes different grades of air filter.
I have the 1st one with a filter wrap, it's should filter more dust.
I agree that K&N are not in the same league as the canister style filters.
I'm just letting you know that K&N has a better version filter for dust.

Thank you. The thing that makes a pleated paper element style "better" is when turbine fins are incorporated in the inlet to create a cyclonic effect that sends the heavier particles into a pre-cleaner. Without this feature paper elements will plug in a short time in extreme conditions. (think about your shop-vac) Donaldson is an industry leader and also an OEM supplier for many equipment manufacturers and never a bad choice when space permits. However, we all can't ride around with a D-9 air filter sticking out of our hood so alternative choices are out there when compromises need to be made.
