my belated father was a welder his whole life. he showed me how to tell the diff.you take vinger and drip it on either one the alum. wont do anything but the mag case will start to fizz up like acid. rub it off or it will eat a hole in it.he shared that with me so i thought i would share it with u.

So would a aluminum case be better to build with?

thats up to the builder ilke a mag case. thats if you were going to weld it u would have to use a mag. welding rod.
