I bought a high dollar buggy last month and it had all the big $ stuff on it. The high dollar fan/oil cooler, elaborate braided hoses, automatic temp fan switch, gauge on and on had to have cost 4-$500.Well this past sunday going up a hill the flange on the cooler broke off. I climbed the hill and did not know it til I got to the top.Turns out the flange was glued instead of soldered.And bits of hard glue residue went on down stream to the bearrings I'm sure.When does it all stop?!I guess now , I need to spend more for new type of cooler set up and expect to rebuild a motor.Plus 50 man hours of my time and down time.

First off, that blows that it came apart and is causing you a lot more work. Secondly, where are all the pictures of the high end buggy?!! We need to see oil cooler carnage and rebuild pics.

I blew out two of those coolers this year. I bought a $280 aluminum stock car oil cooler from a swap meet for $40.

lol! Hey ! One thing about a stock oil cooler...Do not EVER re use one off a motor that blew up or left shavings behind! The metal particles stick to the sticky walls and passages and then here comes the new motor and higher oil pressure then boom. You can borrow my crying towel.I've heard of those new stock fat ones. They should be good.

Always ran a doghouse style cooler and a inexpensive 5 pass trans type cooler.

The shop my uncle works at builds this guy's motors, so I had the owner of the shop ask him about it, no scattered motors through it. I'm still gunna clean her real good.
