I was at a local race and was talking to a guy while he was changing cv's. I was wondering what kind of tranny he was running and it was a modern sideshift, 6-speed VW tranny. He was running a WC Eclipse engine. Can someone explain why i have never seen this here? Any ideas???

How well does it work> i was thinking about using this transmission when ever i can scrape money together and use something like bus gear reduction boxes to lower the gearing and turn the motor around so i wouldnt have a mid engine... I know the cost would be more but it would be different.
