AC = air cooled
Petronix is electronic ignition
Ground is most important.

^^^^^^^^^^^correct

and the neg. on the coil only goes to the black wire from the distributor and NOT to any other ground but it used as the signal source for a tach if you happen to have one of them

I would buy a Petronix. I think they have a 30 month warranty.

Also you need to run a ballast resistor with some of the electronic ignitions and a high voltage coil.

There is more than 1 blue coil.
You need the one that has 2.8-3.2 oms resistance.

If you are paying $100 for an Ignitor you are getting hosed.

OK you gotta use some punctiation so I can decifer this.
You are paying $128 + $12.95 for shipping for an Ignitor points conversion kit?
1847A is the common part number for a Bosch 009 kit.
Is that what you are getting?

The coil you need to use has to have the 2.8-3.2 ohms of resistance.
There are several "Blue" coils. Check yours to be sure.
What is an Empi "pick"?

if your paying that much your ass is more than chapped.and i think they are two types of pertronix one is a 4 ohm and one is an 8 ohm i think, but make sure the coil matches the type of ignition, you can buy a complete 009 distributor and pertronix with a coil for what your paying.chad

Anytime you change any part of the ignition system it is a good idea to check/reset the timing.
One other thing, put your points, condenser and a screwdriver in a bag under your passenger seat cover.
If the EMPI module fails at least you can trail fix it.

FWIW, this is the module I use and sell now.
One failure out of 35 I've bought in year or so.
Was replaced with no issues.
