My personal experience is to use a 3 rib bell or have your 091 milled to accept a late model Beetle diesel for automatic,, you will need to modify the bolt holes on the starter a little. Make sure the starter has 9 teeth. I bought this one on ebay. It whizzes my 6 banger like crazy. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... MEWAX%3AIT |

As bug said you need to mill 3/8 off the face where the starter bolts on then you can run a car starter or a automatic starter or a high torque 1. the reason for running a 3 or 5 rib bell houseing is that if you break yours you can pick another one up about anywhere or a 3/8milled 6 rib. |
