You'll need a pulley for the altenator.

I know I bought a bosch Alt for my 1600 that used the stock pully. I just had to add a light. Not sure on the numbers.

I think you need a different stand now that you mention it.

you will have to change the stand and buy a new pully.i bought my alternater at o'reilly's auto parts for $100 with a lifetime warrenty.they will have to order it but they can get them.i paid $100 for the alternator and $10 for the pully and $5 for a good used stand.it's really easy to change to an alternater.ill never use a genrator again.

When I switched over, my fuel pump was fine but you need to be careful because the fuel pump rod for a "Generator" motor and an "Alternator" motor are different sizes. Just remember, you still have a "Generator" fuel pump rod even though you are now running an Alternator.

If its not a common problem a picture may help explain this.

Some company used to make an aluminum spacer to offset the carb to the drivers side a little. Not sure who has them, havent seen one in years. Maybe turboblue can find out.
