Ok dumb question. My buggy doesn't have any brake lights on it and I need to get a brake light switch from Advance. But how do I hook it up? |

I always order mine for a 68 bug 2 post but you will need a "T" to t it in. |

Some of us have two of them hooked up after the turning brake, one for each wheel, makes like turn signals. |

Hey Hippie, Not sure if anyone actually answered your question. The Brake switch is a pressure switch that goes anywhere in your brake lines. SubySteve is correct, you will need a T to install the brake switch but be careful what switch you buy and make sure to match the T. I believe most brake switches are 1/8 pipe tread but your break lines are probably the standard VW bubble flare. That means you need a mismatch T with two bubble flare and one pipe thread. You will probably have a hard time finding that T in any advanced auto store. I would give one of the woodsbuggy.com sponsors a call. I usually call Tim at SouthernBuggies or Gary at Davis Racing. Both of these guys will help you out and make sure you get the right parts. Good Luck.. |
