i ran a wire from the oil pressure switch on the block to the indicator light from the indicator light to the ignition and my light is not on with just the key switch on and also not on when the motor is running what is wrong motor seems to run good i'm just scared I'm not getting enough oil please help clear this up for me i dont know when the light is suppose to be on or is it only on if something is wrong thanks

The light should be on when the motor is NOT running, or when the oil pressure very low. The oil pressure switch is a ground when triggerd. Try putting the light on a good positive source and a good negative source. If it doesnt light then the light is bad. If it lights then the sensor is bad

the oil sending unit to the ground side of the light,the + side of the light to the switch,,some lights matter and some dont,try that

It is important at what point you connect to ignition switch also,,try movint it at ing. switch :?

well i bought a brand new empi light and after i did what dvs1 said to do i found out the light was bad well actually just the light bulb i guess i could expect that out of empi the little knots on the side of the bulb was to small to fit into the case right but it was an easy fix and i got the liquid electical tape on all my exposed wiring and another project done thanks to everyone that help answer all my questions :lol:
