Request to all the W/C guys. I am trying to find a better box to mount my computer in. Right now I have it in a ammo box but not real pleased with the way I have the wires ran to it and how it is waterproofed. I like Plumberbill's enclosure. How do you have the wiring waterproofed going into it? All pics and ideas greatly appreciated! Thanks |

Unless you plan on being a submarine, total waterproofing is not that important. As long as you can power wash the box and it stays dry inside, your good to go. It would be difficult to do a total liquid tight enclosure. Ammo cans usually work out fine for that stuff depending on the size of your computer. |

where the loom goes into the box, i used clear latex caulk and coated the loom about 3-4 inches down from the box. home depot has waterproof tape that streches and seals (in the hvac area) just about anything, i am going to wrap it with that. |

i did mine using a marine box from gander mountain (any boat store) and liquid tite conduit fittings (grainger, or home depot). very simple, very clean. |
