That would be a good post to make "Sticky", so it would always be right at the top of the forum for anybody wiring one for the first time!

I don't think you want power to both sides of the coil,,,one should be ground (earth).

The small wire on the distributor (from condensor, green or black if its bosch) goes to - side of the coil.
Switched hot wire from ignition switch goes to + side of coil.

If u r hot on both sides of the coil, gonna fry it, plus no way to get a signal from the dist. to fire the cap.

Just wondering how to wire the disconect switch so that it functions as a kill switch. Would you run B+ from alt. to battery side of disconect switch instead of to the starter? Since you can take a battery out of the circuit once the vehicle is running as alt will continue to provide 12V.

how about for the reverse lights off the trans? is it wired like the inline brake switch. permanent + on one side and the feed out on the other?

It is the same as the inline brake switch, just double check the switch with an ohmmeter to verify switch is OK before wiring it up....

I cleaned this up a little for my printer at home, its a little clearer and only black and white, I printed it at 200% scale and it fit on a regular piece of paper (so I could have it on hand in the buggy).
