What are my options for a starter for a 6 rib bell ?
Cranking over a Subaru .

either a high torque starter for a 091 has to be the longer one for six rib of course or if swaping do the Subaru bell housing stock Subaru clutch pressure plate starter that's about your only options I have used a stock starter but they are sluggish once u start to run them turns very slow till your motor is cool

I used a 3 rib bell and 74 autostick starter on my suby project. Worked great

A Subaru starter does work if you buy the small car bell along with the clutch and pressure plate , just somewhere else you got to bite the bullet.

I did it Firebugs style, (5 rib)
For a 6 rib, you could use a adaptor and a stock VW diesel starter.
About half way down this page.
