Curious if there is a supplier for the metal crimp pins that plug into late model automotive connectors. I'll have to modify the harness for my GM motor and it'd be a lot nicer to replace the pins in the connectors when shortening wires and such instead of having a wires soldered together which exposes them to corrosion and failure no matter how well you try to wrap them. My harness is pretty oil soaked as well so it'd be nice to replace some wires all together! Having replacement connector pins would simplify that greatly.

I guess it depends on what kind of plugs you have. If they're GM plugs I think they used Weatherpack. Just google search for that and see if you find them.

or you could use heatshrink where you make your splices.

Just use heatshrink but connectors to splice wire back together. Reterminating can be a pain without proper tools. If your stuck on reterminating gm dealers have boxes of those terminals on hand. take your terminals with you and they can set you up.

Yeah I have always used shrink tubing but I've never been happy with how it looks. Not to mention it really pisses me off when I get done soldering and realize I forgot to slide the shrink tube on the wire first. Just another one of those things that makes Brian homicidal. Oh look now I'm talking in the third person! Yikes.

you should be able to get a whole connecter kit from the dealership. they will more than likely ask for a vincode and you will have to decifer a parts explosion and hope you point at the right connector.
