anyone on here an amatuer radio operator? anyone use ham radio when buggying around? I have a nice mobile radio thats not getting much use and was wondering weather it would do me any good in the buggy. if nothing else atleast it has weather and i can talk to the wife back at camp with the handheld. if there are repeaters around i could even auto patch a phone call (911 :roll:)

I know this is an old thread but I am a ham operator. I have. 2 meter/440 yasue in my truck.

Can look up and find if any repeaters around the riding areas to what is available in the area.
