OK so i have a 2180 with a MSD 6-AL Digital with a PRO billet Distributer and a blaster 2 coil i have replaced every thing in the system the 6-al ,distributer and coil. it was all warranted by MSD and no not all of it was bad i just did it as a precaution . for some reason i can not get the motor to fire MSD told me it was the starter not turning the motor over fast enough so i went and got a compu-fire 2KW high output starter and now the starter winds the motor over no problem still no fire. Im About to just pull it all of and rewire the hole buggy.

What could be the problem anyone !!!! :?:

Why would I have problems with the red light coming on on the MSD box itself sometimes it's on sometimes it's not. It's a brand-new box I just received it back from MSD I had it replaced under warranty.

The red light comes on on mine and it works fine. At idle the red light will flash but no problems . Works great.

Well I wired the MSD to the battery positive positive negative negative and then a positive switch And I am still having the same problems.I am getting five fast flashes of the red light then a Paul's and 1Flash What does that mean I know it has to be some kind of code. I am getting no fire to the spark plugs.

how do you have it wired? I wired mine wrong and was getting the same thing, no fire at the plugs but if I tested it, it would fire.

looks like you found it but download the pdf from the instructions tab and read thru it, there is some test to perform for checking spark
http://www.msdignition.com/Products/Ign ... ntrol.aspx

here is thier forum, you might want to search or make a post about the "code" flashing
http://www.msdignition.com/forum/index.php

i havent really searched the forum but i didnt see anything about flashing a trouble "code" on the main msd pages but from what i did read my 1st guess is that it may be something to do with digital "rev control" settings not being right
