Hey guys, I'm looking for someone that has done the wiring harness themselves for the ecotec swaps. Just curious as to what all to leave and what to go ahead and remove. I tracked down a pinout for the vehicle in which my engine sits right now so I have a basic understanding of something things that wont be needed. I'm just looking for all the insight as well as tuning when it comes to that time.

My buddy has hptuners and I know the major thing is tuning the vats out completely. But any advice and tips would be appreciated.

Thanks guys!
Chris

Chris,
I did my own 07 wiring harness and retained everything with the exception of the evap valve. I figured it would be better to have the MAF and O2 sensor and stay closed loop because of the fluctuating gasoline quality.

You need engine management stuff only. You can do away with anything that had to do with trans or evap system. You need eng sensors, injectors, cooling fans, ignition system, fuel pump, etc. Make sure to keep engine monitering o2 sensor. Fuel management relies on it. Do away with post converter 02 sensor. Only there to moniter converter. if you have specefic questions pm me. Tony

and leave a couple of inches of wire. dont cut right at connecter. if you make a mistake you can splice a wire back on.

Alright thanks a ton guys. I'm hoping when I get back from Vegas in June I can drop the motor and start on the harness. Then the real questions will arise.

Thanks tho a ton. Gives me a good starting point.
