I am considering jumping on the ECOTECH bandwagon because the HP is cheaper (read Chevy) than what equal HP would cost to get out of my VW motor.I don't wish to inflame anyones feelings here,I love and respect VW as much as anyone but equal dollars spent the ECOTECH would be ahead in the torque/HP game. Can anyone tell me what the weight of an 07 ECOTECH engine is compared to VW, and then there is the coolant, rad, brain box, and any other accesories that would pack on the pounds.

stock l61 ECOTEC with adapter and flywheel was 301 LBS. My radiator is 13 Lbs. and wiring harness and ecu are only a few pounds. Your gaining maybe 100 lbs.
