Gotta buddy and his dad who wanna swap this engine into their buggy. Found a Chevy Blazer for the doner car. Dads nervous about the wiring. Where can they get a standalone harness? And does this use the stock ECU or a standalone module. Sorry he asked about the ecotech, but dad wants the bigger engine for some reason. He has a built 3 rib he swears will handle it, time will tell. I'm just looking forward to having a fellow woods buggy within 50 miles, lol.

3.1 would be a lot lighter and better, 3 rib won't hold either 1 in stock form.
Wiring is simple, look on web.

I agree I think its a poor choice unless you can tune it up to make use of the weight. Then you can't get the trans to hold up. not to mention the weight balance issues. But I already told them this and its not my buggy. I think 5x7 arms would help some if they dont wanna go chain drive. But dad has a 1950 turbo set up for drag he says puts out around 350 hp, but they have trouble keeping it dialed in. The trans works on that motor so we shall see, hope they like it. Sounds like a baby chain motor to me.

I had (larryselectricsite.com) do mine 350.oo for the harness plus your old one and 100.oo to reflash the ecm. They done a great job also it must be a 2000 or newer.
