So after alot of thinking and conteplating, I'm going to use the 3.8 ford v6. Has anyone else used this motor? I have no clue what so ever to do about the wiring and what the best ways to get the motor mounts set into place. Is there somewhere i can send my harness to? It came out of a 98 windstar.

Why? Even if its free, why? You would be better off with the four cyl 2.3 than that boat anchor! Its heavy and not the very powerful and definetly not very reliable they bow heads and gaskets if over heated. A 3.1 chevy would be a better power plant than that. Honda v6 would be my choice from now on. You can get them anywhere for 200 with comp. Just my two cents.

My buddy runs one and it isnt that bad. Its pushin almost 200 hp at 230 tq.
And i've been trying to get rid of this thing for over 3 months. no bites what so ever. If you guys know anyone who needs it LET ME KNOW! lol. Ill trade it straight up for something, its still a real nice van. Will need a little after awhile, but it isnt bad at all. So if you guys know anyone who could possibly want it, just let me know.

Well guys, I am going to have to wait on the w/c swap. Funds are not acculmating quick enough. so its gonna be put off for awhile. But i still plan on going w/c, just not until about mid summer. And when i do that, I would like to/been thinking about changing my old two seater into a 3 seater and putting the watercooled in that. be able to have my single seat on the trail, and be able to put the new one together. But thank you guys alot for the help. I will still be using it
