Like the tital says where can i get a diesel adpater to a air cooled bug tranny???? And what clutch will I need. THANKS :D

Try Phil's bug shack, 606-474-2889 . In the past he has made several for me, if it is one he has never done you will have to get the motor to him and leave it, so he can get the measurement needed to make it fit.

Ok I called them they have a 8'' or 9'' clutch avalable . What do you guys think ???? I'm planning building the pump and differant injectors and turbo . Or does any body know of any one that has done this swap before???? THANKS

wondering how the diesel build(s) work out? aren't diesels usually heavier than the same size gas engine ..

Personally, I wouldn't consider a diesel. They just don't turn enough RPMs.

I have got 3 of those diesel bell housings for $100 each that will let you use a vw product but I will club you if u buy one.Only if u already have the stuff to go with it.i have a vr6 Passat motor but the water jacket is to fat to use it as it interferes with the starter.4 cyliders work but they say u must use a diesel starter and fly wheel.You may pull a stump but what if you want to lite some tires up? Nobody has made more live and learn mistakes than I have.Do your homework.
