Thought I would share pics of my swap. I am pulling out my 1915 and going with a 2.2 out of a 1996 Impreza. I was already running the wb tranny so I decided to go with the bell housing adapter. I know I posted pics of the bell housing already but I added them here too.

Turboblue sells the linkage. His shop is Davis Racing and there are links to it on this forum. I've had mine for a few years not sure if the price is still the same but he was selling them for 250.00 Here are some pics.

cold air is better then no air

I got the oil pan welded, painted and installed. I also got the cams back from Delta Cam and got the heads all back together and installed. I've read some post on what to do with the heater lines going to the heater core and I decided to weld them closed. Here are some pics.

My heater hoses are blocked too, but I left the little hose connected. It flows water past the thermostat for it operate properly. What year motor is that? My exhaust has two holes in the head not one.

The smaller hose circulates water from the IAC if equipped and the throttle body. Both should have water to keep from icing up on cold humid days.
I ran a hose from the outlet of the throttle body down to the water pump where the steel tube goes.

It is a 96 out of an Impreza. I blocked it off after the outlet for the hose to the throttle body.

That is a 94 I picked up for 300.00 for parts, but ended up selling it for 650.00! Still got my eye out for a 96 just to have extra parts.

I finally got to work on the buggy this weekend, I've been working out of town. Here's some pics of what I got done.

Welded up the water lines going to the throttle body



Got the motor mounts made:


Raised the gas tank



Got the engine all the way back together

Started on the exhaust today. I bought 3 1 5/8 j bends with a 2" radius from summit at 16.00 apiece. I cut the flanges off the stock exhaust. I ended up moving it higher and was 1 piece short to do both sides.

a thought: you'll probably want to bring the 2 pipes together. leaving them independent really hurts the power, as these boxers really rely on the scavenging effect from one side to the other.

Thanks, I was planning to make a crossover pipe just to have a place to mount the o2 sensor out of the way. I didn't know that not having it would hurt the power output. Thanks for the info!

I had to modified the oil fill to clear the exhaust. I also got my radiator this week and started to mock it up.

I cut the bottom off so I could clock the fill



I then used SEM panel adhesive to glue it back together






I got the same radiator the suby steve is running.

Nice choice in rads! Car is looking great! outfront has a short billet oil filler, I like mine. I was worried about breaking the plastic one off.

Thanks, I'm hoping to have it running next week. I did see the oil neck from outfront, but it would be right under the exhaust and i would need a funnel.
