I am going to be starting my conversion to a Subi 2.2 in a few weeks and I am looking some ideas on radiators.

I like the Cherokee Radiator that measures 31 X 11. Will that provide enough cooling? Does anyone sell small fans that will fit or a small shroud?

What are the recommendations?

I use two empi fans on my 1.9L. Works fine. The one thing that I don't like is that they are loud, very loud. Sounds like a plane getting ready to take off at times. I wish I had went with stock fans of some sort. Much quieter than mine.

I used the jeep radiator also.

Not a good picture of my fans but if you want I can snap a better one if you need.

I use a Fiero radiator,,I like it because the inlet is on the side it needs to be on,,and it is not too big , and it cools well,,,this ebay ad has dimensions.

you are better off getting one from the salvage yard and get the fans and shroud with it,,,

Thanks for all of the great ideas.

How much air flow does the radiator required (with out the fan on) Is it OK to tuck the radiator behind the seats? I have seen fans on the front of the radiator and the back of the radiator, does it matter? Are the back fans a "Pull" fan and the front fans a push fan?

Thanks again for all of your input

Do you really want 200 + degrees right behind you? Picture a 90 degree day going slow thru the woods. For best performance you want the fan(s) to pull thru the radiatoe and away fro m the engine. Ebay and Summit racing are good sources for radiators, Hoses etc

I run a stock 2001 Dodge Intrepid 3.2L radiator with dual fans on my 2.8L Chevy motor. Hasn't gone over 190 yet. Checked with the engine mostly standing still and alot of it in the garage. Shouldnt do too bad on the trail with air moving.
