I am converting my VW engine to a Subi engine and I had a question about my gas tank. I currently have a spun aluminum round tank. Can I modify my tank to work or do i need a new tank with a return.

I have also read about running a small reservoir below an existing tank. Will that work?

I use the spun 10 gal aluminum with fancy plumbing work, works good!

That sounds too easy to be true. I sure am glad I asked before I started modifying the tank.

Appreciate the help. One more thing off the checklist before I pull my VW engine.

It is Firebugs fault.. He made it too appealing with a 2.2 subi ready to install.

Just kidding... The main reason I am converting is so I can pass my yearly emissions test. The VW engine does not stand a chance and I am tired of paying $700 each year for a waiver.

I must say, I am a little nervous. My 1835 has never let me down and I am not very knowledgeable about the subi engines. I hope they are as reliable as everyone says.
