Hey Odyknuck, ( and all others with input) ,I understand you have a dry sump system. How about some insight ,,,parts list,, fabricating,,, etc. My engine could probably benefit from a setup like yours.

You need a bunch of parts to pull that off. 3 stage sump pump, oil filter housing, sump tank, and a mess load of plumbing and fittings. Simply remove the gears from the stock oil pump, and block the passage from the pump to the block. Peterson Fluid Products has a oil filter plate that the oil supply comes into the engine through. The sump pump lives where the A/C pump use to, mounted some way to the A/C bracket. There are billet aluminum dry-sump oil pans out there or alter a stock pan, all you need is about a 1 1/2" deep pan. Figure out how and where to mount the sump tank and oil filter housing and route the oil lines. Then you need a pump drive which requires some machine work, a couple of drive pulleys and a belt
It's kinda a straight forward thing to do, just real expencive.

That's my plan as of now. I pop my current motor, it's a complete change over to a 2.5L SOHC, Dry-sump, Delta cams and a couple of other tricks.

I was saving these pics for the Subaru conversion artical I am going to write however here are some of the Dry sump system and exhaust I am building for mine:

It has been a time consuming project to get the dry sump system completed. I had to fabricate the pump mount and belt drive pully assembly. I did not use the peterson adapter plate for the feed system. I removed the OEM threaded oil filter adapter and cut one end off. Then I welded a 10-AN weld fitting on it. I tapped the suppy port in the engine with a 3/8" NPT and plugged it so no dirt would migrate into the engine thru the passage in the oil filter chamber. There is a lot of plumbing to consider also. The thin oil pan made the difference between a major relocation of trans and engine and just lowering the nose on the trans. The oil pan is compliments of Madmike. Sometimes Ebay is good to ya. Since these picks I have added an additional scavenge pick up on the back of the oil pan for those long downhills.
