Wonder how this will hold up in the woods?

It would actually work better in the woods than a Turbo setup. The power from a supercharger is on a somewhat linier curve versus the slam dunk of Turbo. 3 Gs is however quite a hit for only 5 psi of boost. You would really need an aftermarket Piggyback or a stand alone ECM and larger Injectors and reground cams to make it worth while. Then you could reshieve the supercharger and run higher boost. Then of cource add another grand or two to the pot.

much cheaper to assemble your own kit.

then you can use a roots blower and get the advantage of the supercharger, low end torque. that kit (looks like a raptor kit) uses a centrifugal blower, which is just a belt-driven turbo, so still has lag.

Good info, I did not know that was a Centrifugal blower. I would choose a Turbo over that.

ummm......no......

it does take advantage of some wasted energy. but if you put a turbo on the exhaust side, but didn't hook up the intake (i.e. all the back pressure, none of the boost) you would definitely have less power than you started with.

ebay seems to be the place. have to watch for a while. I've heard of them going for as little as $250. I watched for about a month and spent almost $500 for mine with 20k miles on it with the intake/exhaust plenums on it (otherwise you have to fab something.....and they're kind of a strange shape).

they're not usually listed as Eaton M62s. just as mercedes C230 or SLK230 superchargers....
