from what I've been able to tell, as long as you keep the intake manifold and it's sensors (IAC, MAF, etc.) with the ECU, yes.

Have you done any wiring conversions on the WRX and or STI Turbo motors?

yep, I did the harness for a 2005 WRX motor/trans into a 1996 impreza Lx (the www.grimmspeed.com track car...).

I haven't worked with any jdm stuff....and haven't been able to get a hold of many decent diagrams for them...

So I will assume you can get a WRX or an STI motor to work in a Buggy. I have been contenplating using my VW Turbo setup with the 2000 2.5 SOHC motor. You had stated that the OEM ECU could handle about 6PSI. Have you actually seen it work with the stock componets. I would aslo be using a 2.2 ECU for it. The 2000 2.5 SOHC runs a 10.1:1 compression. Will the head gaskets handel 6PSI of boost. My VW system is using a variable fuel system and I am thinking of keeping it in the system to compensate for the lack of boost/fuel control in the ECU. Also my Turbo is a T3 .48 Turbine and a .60 Compressor. It may be a little to small for the 2500. Thoughts on this concept?

Look up Stinger ECU they have some as well and from another site I Visit on the perversion conversion many of them use the Stinger over the MS. Might be worth researching some.
