I am planning on building a rail and i am kicking around the idea of scrapping my beater work car for the engine. It is a 1993 Eagle Talon with a 2.0 turbo 4 cylinder. The engine is actually a mitsu engine. It is rated at 200 hp from the factory. What do you guys think of the idea?

I think it will be a little trouble but worth it. When you're done you can climb in,,buckle up,,,and head out....good luck

I think its a great idea. I like seeing different engine setups and ideas. Are you going to use the factory ECU? Is it intercooled from the factory? My buggy has a Dodge 2.2L turbo engine on it and I chose to use megasquirt to run everyhing and it worked out great. Here is a link ---> http://woodsbuggy.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3584. :)

Well right now I plan on the factory ecu. I still havent aquired a frame at this point though. We will see what I use when I get to the point of actually putting the engine in. The engine is a 2.0 DOHC with an intercooler from the factory.

Can someone point me to a place where I could get an adapter plate?

I am a little worried about the height and weight of the engine, it is really tall because of the head being so big. The block is also cast iron.

These are very strong engines. Lots of guys have gotten 500 ponies out of the stock short block.

Nice looking rail!! I am a huge fan of turbochargers. My dad's boss has a rail with a turbo 1776 that is carburated and fuel injected. It has a controller with a map sensor that detects boost to run the injectors under boost. It will run an 11.20 in the 1/4 with street tires on it. My dad also has a rail with a 1915 with dual weber 44's.
