While I was Putting coolant in my buggy for the first time today.(It has a 4.3 v6 with a Moroso electric water pump) it started pouring coolant out of the un-used hole on the left side of the block.. my question is why and what do I do to remedy this the right way?

And buying a Ford/Dodge is NOT the answer I'm looking for!!!

That is a bypass port. Tap it for a pipe plug and plug it off. Thats what I did on my v-8 fiero. It is not needed with electric pumps.

I used a small 1/8 npt inch pipe plug worked great with teflon tape.

Make sure you use GM gaskets for the waterpump. The felpro and other aftermarket gaskets I've had blow out. This happened to me twice. And yes, I was tightening it correctly. The torque spec is 33 ft lbs for the water pump bolts.
