Here' one of my dad's beetles.. a 58 with 1.6 Subaru engine. He likes to get them working and drive them but they look like what they are,,,barn finds. :roll:

Thats cool as hell!! He wanna sell it? Kyjr.buggy needs to find a good, affordable project to fix up so its ready for him in a couple years, when he gets his license.

He's always wanted an old beetle, but here lately been wanting me to build him a wrecked Subaru WRX STi. (Yeah right, keep dreamin kid, body parts are hard to find used for WRX, and STi too fast for a 16 yr old!)

This way he could have have a Subie AND an old beetle!

Is adapter same for 2.2/2.5?

Ya Larry the 2.0, 2.2, 2.5 all use the same adaptor plate.

But the adaptors for the earlier EA engines are different.. 1.6 is different from 1.8. As far as selling,,doubt it,,,he becomes very attached to his old beetles. Would Jr. be interested in a 63 chop top? Dang babychains have bout broke me. :cry:
